Can you get financial support for EV charging points at work?
Absolutely, the (WCS) Workplace Charging Scheme is a special grant by the government especially for electrical vehicles, which is offered by (OLEV) Office for Low Emission Vehicles.
This grant covers up to 75% of the total costs (purchase and installation) of EV charge points (in of VAT) and is capped at at both:
- £350 per socket
- 40 sockets across all sites per applicant.

How long on average does it take to charge my car?
There are various factors that will affect the time and will depend on the EV charger’s power output, charging mode and size of your car battery. Some vehicles can take us to 4 hours, however others can charge in as little as 30 minutes.
